Meet the Executive Team
Rob Zollinger
President and Chief Executive Officer
Rob’s responsibilities span the full spectrum of company operations—from construction services and project management to estimating, budgeting, and beyond. From setting strategic direction to improving operational performance, he works closely with his team to help ensure every project exceeds client expectations.
Over the last 30 years, Rob has advanced through the ranks at UMEC, starting as a Project Engineer and serving in various management and operations roles. His hands-on experience equips him well to now lead our organization. With a sharp eye for innovation, he always strives to deliver value, safety, and performance at the highest level.
Rob is a sports car enthusiast, enjoys reading historical narratives, and, most of all, cherishes time spent with his family— especially his grandchildren.
Kevin Garn
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Kevin leads the organization’s financial strategy, focusing on long-term growth, operational excellence, and fiscal integrity. He oversees all financial functions, including accounting, risk management, IT, and payroll, working to ensure that we operate with efficiency and transparency.
A licensed Certified Public Accountant, Kevin has over 20 years of experience in construction accounting and finance. He has served as president of the Phoenix Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association and is currently an active member.
Kevin enjoys spending free time with his wife and five children; biking, hiking, and outdoor activities; and giving back through church and community organizations.
Monica Graf
Vice President of Operations
Monica collaborates closely with owners, general contractors, and project teams throughout all phases of construction, helping ensure that goals are met and schedule and safety targets are maintained. She is also responsible for the development and performance of our project management team members.
With over 20 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry, Monica brings valuable skills in client relations, contract administration, internal team coordination, and project management.
Outside the office, Monica is an avid traveler and proud mom and stepmom to six children.
Doug Collins
Director of Preconstruction and Estimating
Doug is responsible for delivering accurate and timely project estimates that help clients make informed decisions. His team reviews project drawings and specifications, evaluates mechanical systems, calculates labor costs, and sources vendor pricing. Doug strives to ensure each estimate reflects a complete and accurate scope, and he works closely with clients to refine and finalize proposals.
Beyond estimating, Doug collaborates with construction teams to communicate technical, scheduling, and financial considerations. Further, he is committed to driving business growth by cultivating strong relationships with current and prospective clients, while reinforcing our strong reputation by focusing on long-term customer satisfaction.
Outside of work, Doug enjoys working on hot rods, hitting the shooting range, and going fishing with friends.
Keith Wheelis
Director of Procurement
Keith manages the daily operations of the purchasing department, overseeing the procurement of equipment, materials, and services to provide our teams with the resources they need to meet both internal goals and our clients’ objectives.
With nearly 40 years of experience in procurement and inventory management, he maintains frequent contact with suppliers and manufacturers, helping ensure that we receive high-quality, competitively priced materials and equipment for our projects.
Beyond his professional life, Keith enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, skiing, working out, and exploring Arizona's backroads and trails.
Amber Gless
Chief Estimator
Amber manages our estimating department, growing new business and sales by training, developing, leading, and supporting our team of estimators. She oversees the preparation of active estimates from the project design phase through to the award of a contract. Amber also conducts thorough analyses of projects and specifications to ensure that mechanical budgets, estimates, and project costs are accurate and reliable.
Outside of work, Amber is a proud wife and mother of two, who enjoys traveling, cooking and baking, and spending time with the family’s three dogs.
Jennifer Reilly
Director of Human Resources and Legal Affairs
Jennifer oversees our human resources department, touching on everything from recruitment and talent development to compensation, benefits, and employee relations. She also serves as the company’s legal compass, guiding compliance with state and local regulations, managing licensing and reporting, and helping ensure that every contract aligns with legal standards and business goals.
This dual focus on both people and policy empowers her to foster a culture of accountability, equity, and excellence. Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, skiing, and exploring new destinations.
Dominic Caminiti
Director of Loss Control and Workforce Development
Dominic's primary goal is to promote workplace safety for all employees, allowing them to achieve the productivity levels necessary for high-performance project delivery. He develops, implements, and oversees all our health and safety programs, supervises our Safety Managers in the field, and helps ensure that we remain compliant with OSHA regulations. He is an active participant in preconstruction meetings and the execution of on-site safety plans.
Additionally, Dominic sits on the collective bargaining committees for our local unions, is the chairman of the pipe trades joint apprenticeship, and is on the executive board for the Arizona Mechanical Contractors Association.
When he’s not out in the field, Dominic enjoys working out, hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with his wife and two children.
