HEALTHCARE FACILITY BACKGROUND
Friendship Village is a life-care retirement community on 46 acres located in Tempe, Arizona. In addition to apartments and garden homes for independent living, the community offers assisted living and nursing services.
MECHANICAL SERVICES OBJECTIVES
To provide the mechanical and commercial plumbing systems for a 160,000 square-foot, four-story healthcare center, that will house 140 private and semi-private rooms, an Alzheimer’s facility, a hospice, nursing units, a laundry facility, a full-service kitchen, a dining room, and a café bistro.
MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS
This mechanical construction, fabrication, and systems installation project required expert scheduling. There was virtually no storage space available. This meant that, instead of being delivered ahead of time, most of the materials and equipment had to arrive at the site just in time to meet project deadlines.
