The 16-story tower will allow for a more integrated and efficient criminal courts system, with courtrooms and jail cells housed in the same building. The tower spans 695,000 s.f., and will house 32 courtrooms with only 22 being built immediately.

BACKGROUND
Maricopa County is the fourth largest county in the nation. There are currently 52 criminal courtrooms. The new court tower will provide an additional 22 courtrooms with space on other floors to add an additional 10 courtrooms.
